About the role
- Maintains the PACS (Picture Archive Communication System)
- Keeps the system operating at maximum efficiency, applies upgrades, tests for problems and troubleshoots
- Maintain Radiology Information System by monitoring the interface work queue, running reports, addressing patient information issues
- Supports voice recognition dictation system
- Tests upgrades, patches, and new implementations with vendors
- Creates test plans for submission to system-wide change control
- Orients and trains staff as necessary
- Recommends and implements changes to maximize system efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- At least 3 years experience in a clinical position in the medical field
- At least 2 years Information Systems (IS) experience
- Radiology IS experience preferred
- Knowledge of Epic Radiant, Meditech Magic, McKesson PACS, MModal voice recognition or similar systems
