About the role
- Registers patients presenting for visits
- Explains the registration process to patients
- Processes patient co-payments and balances due
- Completes the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire
- Instructs patients and obtains signatures on consent forms
- Monitors patient waiting area for efficient registration flow
- Responds to patient concerns and potential safety issues
- Initiates patient scheduling activities
- Identifies and communicates issues impacting patient care
- Efficiently registers patients and verifies insurance coverage
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- 1-3 years related work experience
- Experience with computer systems required
- Strong typing skills 40+wpm
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Bilingual written and verbal communication skills preferred
