About the role Complete training in healthcare-associated infection surveillance (CLABSI, CAUTI, SSI) Perform direct observation of basic infection prevention practices, including staff hand hygiene Work up patient and staff exposures to select infectious diseases Help manage diseases of public health concern case evaluations Develop competence in Joint Commission, CMS and other regulatory requirements Function as primary infection prevention contact for select inpatient units/ambulatory clinics/service lines Independently perform Infection Control Risk Assessments Develop skills in outbreak detection and management Develop and demonstrate competency in basic data analysis and statistical methodologies Maintain strict adherence to BILH confidentiality guidelines and compliance with HIPAA Requirements Bachelor’s degree required Master’s degree in Infection Control, Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, or Statistics preferred Licensed Registered Nurse preferred 1-3 years of work experience in infection prevention and control preferred 1-5 years of work experience required Professional licensure in related field (RN, MT, etc.) must be maintained as active, if applicable Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office suite applications required Experience in use of electronic health records, particularly Epic and/or infection prevention software preferred Detail oriented, critical thinker, effective communicator with analytical abilities and strong interpersonal skills Health insurance Professional development opportunities Vaccination requirement against flu as a condition of employment Copy Applicant Tracking System Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
