Corporate Counsel – Fixed-term
Betclic GroupCorporate Counsel overseeing legal management and corporate governance for Betclic Group entities in France and abroad. Supporting shareholders and finance teams across various corporate operations.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the corporate affairs of the Group's entities in France and internationally, including approval of annual accounts, preparation and organization of board and shareholders' meetings, related-party transactions, amendments to bylaws, and beneficial ownership filings
- Implement and monitor powers of attorney and delegation of authority frameworks
- Participate in Group restructuring and reorganization projects
- Provide legal support to shareholders, Finance teams, and other stakeholders on corporate transactions and operations
- Manage and monitor finance-related documentation, including intra-group agreements
- Manage KYC processes and respond to related documentation requests
- Oversee the Group's insurance programs
- Manage the Group's trademark portfolio and related intellectual property matters
- Handle internal agreements and associated legal issues
- Liaise with external counsel, notaries, and statutory auditors
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments in corporate law and assess their impact on the Group
- Maintain and update corporate reporting tools
- Provide regular reports on activities and projects to management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced legal degree (Master's degree — Master 2 in Business Law/Corporate Law, DJCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in corporate law, ideally gained within an international group, a law firm, or a combination of both
- Strong expertise in corporate law and a solid understanding of corporate governance, group reorganizations, and the legal management of companies in an international environment
- Knowledge of intellectual property and compliance/anti-bribery matters is a plus
- Fluent in French and English
- Sound judgment, autonomy, and a proactive approach
- Highly organized, rigorous, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Hands-on approach and comfortable managing both strategic legal matters and day-to-day corporate administration, with a strong sense of ownership
- Recognized for strong communication skills, interpersonal ease, a collaborative mindset, flexibility, and a business-oriented approach
