About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set up, implement, and support the technological solutions that keep our systems running smoothly and securely.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that power our production deploys, keeping releases fast and reliable.
- Develop and continuously improve our monitoring and alerting systems, so issues get caught before they become problems.
- Create and maintain "infrastructure as code" configurations to manage our cloud environments on AWS and Cloudflare.
- Implement methodologies and procedures that make our systems resilient, capable of recovering automatically from failure with minimal to no manual intervention.
- Act as a key point of communication across departments, bridging engineering with the rest of the organization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience, ideally with at least one Associate-level AWS certification.
- Solid experience in infrastructure, database, and network administration for highly available, scalable applications.
- Strong knowledge of Linux System Administration and Bash scripting.
- Proven experience with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and AWS Serverless technologies.
- Familiarity with web services, APIs, and RESTful architecture.
- A solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and distributed networks.
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with the open-source monitoring stack, particularly Grafana.
- A development background, with experience in Python, Node.js, and Nginx configuration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a knack for tracing issues back to root cause.
