About the role
- Analyze business requirements and user stories to create comprehensive test scenarios and detailed test cases.
- Perform end-to-end validation of transaction lifecycles (initiation, authorization, settlement, and reconciliation).
- Use SQL to query databases directly, validating data accuracy and transformation rules across systems.
- Conduct manual validation of REST APIs using Postman to verify transaction requests and responses.
- Identify, log, and track bugs using Jira, providing high-quality reproduction steps, screenshots, and logs.
- Ensure existing functionality remains stable after deployments while proactively exploring the platform for hidden risks.
- Assist business stakeholders during User Acceptance Testing to ensure the final product meets commercial needs.
Requirements
- 4+ years of manual testing experience, specifically focused on web applications and backend validation.
- Strong background in iGaming (highly preferred), fintech, payment gateways, or banking platforms.
- Ability to write intermediate SQL queries to validate data integrity within relational databases.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and hands-on experience with tools like Postman.
- Proficiency with Jira and test management tools (e.g., TestRail or Zephyr).
- Deep understanding of the STLC and working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail and a focus on high-volume transactional data.
