Develop and refine financial models for projects and programs, prepare forecasts, and analyze financial plans and budgets for global engineering and life sciences practices
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, analyze performance against budget/forecast, and present data to senior management and stakeholders
Lead daily financial operations, manage cash flow, supervise accounts payable/receivable, ensure accurate costing for engineering projects, and maintain ERP financial systems
Establish and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with government reporting, tax filings, and other financial regulations
Serve as a financial business partner to engineering and life sciences delivery teams, providing insights and guidance to support strategic objectives
Collaborate with Sales and Delivery teams on bids and RFP responses, conduct market and customer analysis, and contribute to risk management strategies
Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, ensuring timely delivery of analysis and fostering a high-performance environment
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA or equivalent professional designation strongly preferred
Proven track record as a Financial Controller or in a senior financial leadership role
Experience in project-based or service-oriented industries (preferred)
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles
Strong financial reporting and analysis capabilities
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Proficiency with ERP/accounting software and financial systems
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Leadership ability with integrity and attention to detail
