About the role
- Develop and implement audience-driven event marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives;
- Manage details, budgets and timelines to deliver high-quality marketing campaigns for events that include National Conference (B2B) and marquee fundraising events, including Best Friends Benefit to Save Them All.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with digital and copy teams to shape content strategy for event landing pages and email campaigns, guiding copywriters on tone, urgency, audience framing, calls to action and overall strategic direction.
- Partner with Brand team to lead end-to-end strategy and execution for events with plans that span design, marketing materials across all channels, and performance measurement.
- Utilize social media and digital platforms to promote events and create engaging, motivating content to drive awareness and attendance.
- Analyze the success of each event and prepare reports on key outcomes and recommendations for optimization and future improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in event marketing and promotion, audience engagement and lifecycle marketing.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all events comply with relevant regulations and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, both B2B and B2C experience required, with a strong background in event marketing and strategy development.
- Demonstrated success in marketing national and local events for B2B and B2C brands, with a preference for experience in non-profits and/or animal welfare or related fields.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
- Ability to think creatively and innovatively, with a knack for storytelling, data collection, experience design and engaging diverse audiences.
