About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently own complex cloud infrastructure and platform work
Lead advanced troubleshooting and resolution of complex production and pre-production issues
Organize and influence infrastructure and platform architecture design discussions
Lead CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code improvements with minimal oversight
Drive proactive reliability work, incident prevention, and resilience hardening
Partner across Technology to translate requirements into secure, scalable architecture decisions
Define and improve operational standards, runbooks, and engineering guardrails
Provide technical mentorship and informal leadership to associate and mid-level engineers
Participate in on-call rotation and lead response for high-impact incidents
Contribute to continuous delivery, total quality management, knowledge sharing, career advancement, empowerment, innovation, and collective ownership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced proficiency with AWS services, IAM, networking, and security controls
Advanced proficiency with Terraform and/or CloudFormation design and operations
Strong experience building and operating CI/CD systems at team scale
Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container delivery workflows
Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages used for automation
Ability to drive complex initiatives across multiple teams and priorities
Strong written and verbal communication with technical and business stakeholders
AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification (or higher) recommended
Terraform Associate certification recommended
Experience with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet recommended
