About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Berry Law's Editorial Strategy
- Conduct original legal research and develop authoritative studies, reports, and white papers.
- Write thought leadership articles that establish Berry Law as a national authority in Veterans Disability and Personal Injury law.
- Develop editorial calendars aligned with firm priorities, legislative developments, and strategic initiatives.
- Own High-Value Content Creation Draft long-form website content, practice area pages, legal guides, and educational resources.
- Write executive thought leadership pieces, opinion articles, and media-ready content.
- Draft persuasive copy that allows Berry Law to capitalize quickly on breaking news and emerging media opportunities.
- Provide ongoing website news updates and timely legal commentary.
- Develop podcast content plans, episode outlines, and interview preparation materials.
- Write video scripts, storyboards, and production briefs for educational and brand campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Producer to ensure every piece of content tells a compelling story.
- Develop messaging for social media campaigns, email initiatives, public relations, and executive communications.
- Review and edit content to ensure legal accuracy, editorial excellence, and brand consistency.
- Serve as the firm's final editorial resource for complex legal content.
- Ensure every published piece reflects Berry Law's brand standards, legal ethics, and commitment to serving Veterans.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail while simplifying complex legal concepts for everyday readers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Exceptional legal writing and editing abilities
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly for professional and consumer audiences
- Outstanding research, organization, and editorial judgment
- Ability to translate sophisticated legal concepts into compelling, reader-friendly content
- Deep attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
