About the role

  • Critically evaluate internal and market editorial collections to support the area’s strategic decisions.
  • Monitor editorial, pedagogical, and consumer trends related to childhood and early learning.
  • Monitor and interpret current legislation, guidelines and regulations for Early Childhood Education and Early Elementary School (BNCC, DCNEI, and complementary documents), ensuring the conceptual alignment of materials.
  • Support management in preparing pedagogical and editorial documentation, such as project plans, content matrices (espelhos), authorial guidelines and orientation documents for authors and content developers.
  • Produce original content, both authoring directly and coordinating with external content developers and AI tools, respecting established pedagogical and editorial principles.
  • Edit and adapt content for Early Childhood and Early Elementary grades, ensuring clarity, age-appropriateness and pedagogical consistency.
  • Manage deadlines and deliverables for collections and projects under your direct responsibility.
  • Directly or indirectly support the training and technical development of more junior pedagogical analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy, Languages/Literature, Publishing or related fields.
  • Postgraduate degree in Education, Psychopedagogy, Inclusive Education or related areas.
  • Solid experience as a senior editor or content specialist.
  • Proven experience in editorial production for school systems.
  • Required experience working with Early Childhood Education in structured editorial contexts.
  • Experience with end-to-end editorial production processes (from planning to finalization).
  • Mastery of editorial processes and production workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of editing and adapting educational content.
  • Familiarity with production and editing of print and digital content.
  • Ability to use AI tools critically and strategically in content production.
