About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design mechanical systems, components, or assemblies using engineering principles
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to create unique high-level concepts and designs for all assigned projects
Conduct field surveys to identify existing equipment types and system capabilities
Produce design documents including drawings, system flow diagrams and architecture, wiring diagrams, construction details, and equipment scheduling
Deliver concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines
Contribute to all areas of the creative process and department
Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members
Provide training to designer level staff on basic design principles and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree in HVAC Technology, Building Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
4-6 years' design experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
Strong technical skills
Effective oral and written communications skills
Vision and Creativity
Ability to meet deadlines
Planning skills
Possesses working knowledge of the subject matter
Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
