About the role

  • Design mechanical systems, components, or assemblies using engineering principles.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers and contractors to create unique high-level concepts and designs for assigned projects.
  • Conduct field surveys to identify existing equipment types and system capabilities.
  • Produce design documents including drawings, system flow diagrams, architecture, wiring diagrams, construction details, and equipment scheduling.
  • Deliver concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines.
  • Contribute to all areas of the creative process and department.
  • Perform work under direct supervision. Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Assist with the development of technical reports or related documents.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in HVAC Technology, Building Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 2-4 years' experience with building construction, especially mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or automatic temperature controls.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Strong technical skills

  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
