About the role

  • The Co-Op performs technical activities on assigned projects under supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer and/or a Mechanical Designer EIT.
  • Participation in technical studies, investigations, and designs on assigned projects.
  • Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within budget and the utmost quality.
  • Performs evaluations and system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc., and contributes to the final project client proposal.
  • Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions with a staff/project manager.
  • Accompanies staff/project manager in performing project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes.
  • Assist in preparing punch lists and project observation reports to note findings.

Requirements

  • Must be a student at an accredited University pursuing a major in engineering.
  • Requires the student to work through the University's Cooperative Education program or similar program if the University has a Co-Op program.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
