About the role
- Analyze utility and building automation data to assist with evaluation of energy and cost efficiency opportunities.
- Interact with clients, contractors, and engineers.
- Develop a thorough understanding of existing buildings and HVAC systems.
- Assist in the review of energy, weather, and building automation data.
- Identify facility operational issues affecting energy consumption and comfort.
- Assist with improvements for energy or cost reductions.
- Develop recommendations to address operational issues.
- Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders during project stages.
- Prepare reports summarizing discoveries.
- Collect, review, and analyze data from field surveys and utility data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment
- Well versed in the industry
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
- Engineering Intern (EI) licensure preferred.
- CEM, CMVP, CEP, CEA, EEP, or BEP certifications through the Association of Energy Engineers or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with energy efficiency programs preferred.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems preferred.
- Experience in analyzing utility data preferred.
- Basic knowledge of commercial HVAC systems preferred.
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Python, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, or R preferred.
