About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Overseeing and strengthening the financial management of the business entity
Ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and sound financial governance
Analyzing operational results and economic trends to advise management on financial procedures, standards, and cost-effectiveness
Providing financial insights and guidance during client engagements and supporting contract development
Ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, management reports, and client invoices
Developing, monitoring, and controlling budgets; identifying variances, reporting discrepancies, and proposing corrective actions
Reviewing, improving, and maintaining financial and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and group standards
Developing and implementing new business cases
Overseeing taxation matters, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax returns and statutory financial statements
Liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes effectively
Managing relationships with financial institutions, business associates, and relevant authorities
Approving electronic purchase transactions in line with established financial guidelines
Supervising, coaching, and supporting team members to ensure high performance and professional development

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline
Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is desirable
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in corporate finance or hospitality finance, preferably within a multi-entity, multi-country environment with distributed teams.
Strong expertise in accounting principles including accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, provisions, intercompany reconciliations, and consolidation.
Experienced in creating business cases including valuation aspects.
Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare clear, accurate reports, statements, forecasts, and projections.
Basic knowledge in Romanian corporate and tax compliance.
Hands-on experience with short- and long-term budgeting, forecasting, rolling budgets, and profitability analysis.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively across different cultures, geographies, and time zones.
Fluency in English; Romanian language skills are a strong advantage.
