About the role
- Ensure the functionality of the Compliance Management System
- Further develop berlinovo's Compliance Management System, including creating and implementing concepts
- Support business units in defining and optimizing berlinovo's internal policies from a compliance perspective
- Prepare compliance reporting (e.g., annual Compliance report)
- Strengthen compliance risk prevention and implement regulatory requirements (Compliance policy)
- Coordinate and support collaboration with the trusted counsel, auditors, authorities, etc.
- Further develop whistleblowing management, handle inquiries and reports, investigate facts, communicate across departments, provide recommendations to optimize business processes and procedures, SFO documents, and personnel disciplinary measures
- Map business processes, procedures, flowcharts, and argumentation/decision aids for compliance topics
- Conduct or organize compliance training and prepare and, if required, lead or participate in workshops, presentations, and meetings
- Support and coordinate audits of the Compliance Management System
- Support the Money Laundering Officer to ensure compliance with due diligence obligations under the German Anti-Money Laundering Act (GwG) within the group
- Manage and monitor the compliance sub-budget
Requirements
- Degree in business administration and/or law, or an equivalent qualification acquired through professional experience
- Relevant professional experience, preferably in the real estate sector
- Exemplary sense of responsibility and integrity
- Quick comprehension as well as analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment and flexibility during periods of increased workload
- Initiative and ability to work independently
- Team player with assertiveness and a confident, solution-oriented approach to conflict resolution
- Openness to personal development
- Proficient in MS Office
