About the role

  • Cost-optimized, timely and quality-compliant procurement of assigned product groups in the IT domain
  • Prepare, conduct and compile complex national and international procurement processes and tenders
  • Accompany activity planning of specialist departments from a commercial perspective to ensure a balanced cost-benefit ratio
  • Develop modern procurement strategies and advise specialist departments on public procurement law issues
  • Draft and define verified cost-effectiveness calculations based on the procurement law applicable at BVG
  • Identify and develop innovative optimization potentials aligned with corporate objectives
  • Compliant documentation and preparation of award-relevant evaluation and decision criteria

Requirements

  • Completed academic degree* (Master’s or university diploma) in industrial engineering, economics, public administration/law or equivalent skills and knowledge based on long-term professional experience in procurement, ideally with experience in public procurement for IT requirements
  • German language skills at least level C1
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant laws (including BGB, HGB) and procurement law for utilities/sector contracting authorities (UVgO, SektVO, VwVBU)
  • Strong technical understanding and good user-level knowledge of SAP and common MS Office applications
  • Assertiveness, negotiation skills and confident communication abilities across all hierarchy levels
