About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of statutory financial reporting.
Support the integrity of financial results through detailed analysis.
Prepare internal quarterly and annual Schedule P and notes.
Develop and implement allocation methodologies within financial systems.
Preparation of certain state/jurisdiction premium tax returns
Complete assigned schedules for management/regulators/auditors.
Participate in the quarterly generation of Statutory Financial Statements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.
5+ years accounting experience in the P&C Insurance Industry
Advanced computer skills on MS Office Excel and accounting software.
Experience with process re-engineering.
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
Technical skills in SQL and VBA are a plus.
Knowledge of the Oracle Fusion General Ledger is a plus.
