About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify cost savings, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and value capture frameworks
  • Conduct market, competitor, and operational research across retail and consumer sectors
  • Translate analysis into client-ready presentations, data visualizations, and written deliverables
  • Contribute to diagnostics related to supply chain, merchandising, store operations, labor, pricing, and omnichannel performance
  • Partner with consultants and client teams on workstreams and deliverables from concept through implementation
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and problem-solving while applying professional judgment
  • Support retailers, consumer brands, and private equity clients with operational and financial challenges
  • Travel to local and non-local client sites as needed, with expected client travel up to 80%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Progress toward a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, operations research, business, economics, finance, industrial engineering, or a related field
  • Expected graduation date between Spring 2027 and Summer 2027
  • GPA of 3.6 or higher is highly desirable
  • 0–2 years of prior work or internship experience
  • Retail, direct-to-consumer, or consumer goods experience through internships, coursework, or extracurricular projects is preferred
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Alteryx, or other analytical tools is a plus
  • Comfort leveraging generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or Claude responsibly in a professional context
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze large data sets, and think logically about solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present findings clearly to teammates and clients
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, take ownership, manage multiple priorities, and learn through feedback
  • Ability to submit verification of legal right to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • Expected client travel up to 80%
