About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Mine, synthesize, and analyze large data sets using computer programs
- Identify trends, communicate results, and recommend solutions based on findings
- Generate visualizations using Tableau and other analytical software
- Develop and maintain electronic databases and spreadsheets
- Streamline processes as needed
- Conduct detailed research and analysis and put results into action
- Gather, review, and summarize literature and data from public-domain, specialized industry, client, public, and commercial databases
- Use relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions
- Audit own work product and the work product of others to assure quality
- Participate in a team environment and meet client deadlines and quality expectations
- Participate in group practice meetings
- Provide creative recommendations that bring value to clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in statistics, biostatistics, econometrics, mathematics, computer science, or another related subject
- 5+ years of prior work experience required, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Proven capability with analytical software
- SAS required
- MS Excel required
- Tableau strongly preferred
- SQL, Snowflake, R, or similar experience preferred
- Knowledge of database theory and design preferred
- Knowledge of report writing preferred
- Knowledge of CMS quality measure methodology preferred, including CMS Star Ratings, Hospital Value-Based Purchasing, Hospital Acquired Condition Reduction Program, and Hospital Readmission Reduction Program
- Commitment to producing high-quality analysis and attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to work within a team environment
- Must be able to submit verification of legal right to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
