About the role
- You develop the assortment strategy for your area, including market, trend and sustainability inputs.
- You manage assortment development for product groups, brands and activities, defining relevant priorities.
- You determine the ideal assortment structure (depth/width/pricing) and derive measures to optimize it.
- You analyze market, customer and competitor data, derive action recommendations and implement them together with Buying and Commercial.
- You ensure the assortment is displayed correctly across channels and aligns with the Bergzeit brand presence.
- You proactively contribute your expertise to touchpoints such as newsletters, category pages, product stories or campaigns.
- You work closely with various interfaces, primarily Buying and Commercial, to create the best assortment experience for our customers.
Requirements
- Completed commercial training or a degree in business, sports, marketing or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in category management, buying, merchandising or a similar area.
- Excellent analytical skills and confident use of common tools (Excel, BI systems, merchandise management).
- Experience working with CRM, market or performance data.
- Structured, careful and independent working style with a strong results orientation.
- A sense for trends, brand understanding and enthusiasm for outdoor & mountain sports.
- Team player with a hands-on mentality and enjoyment of cross-functional collaboration.
