About the role

  • Strategic customer and portfolio management
  • Direct national and international support of retailers and distributors
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses and derive actionable recommendations
  • Identify and develop new sales and marketing opportunities and lead annual business reviews and customer negotiations
  • Responsible for volume, price and terms planning, including monthly forecasting
  • Track and monitor budget and terms agreements and prepare summaries of commercial terms
  • Full accountability for the performance of customer and country portfolios and for the tender process (end-to-end)
  • Customer communication with retail purchasing (projects, pricing, contracts)

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or a comparable qualification; further training as a GS1 Category Manager is a plus
  • Several years of professional experience in sales at an FMCG company (ideally in the beverage sector)
  • Experience conducting sales negotiations and annual business review meetings
  • Persuasiveness, assertiveness, negotiation skills, willingness to travel, commitment, resilience, strong sales and customer orientation, and initiative
  • Business-fluent English, spoken and written
  • Knowledge of the German retail landscape and structures in Germany and Europe, and experience in selling both branded and private-label/secondary-brand products
