About the role

  • Responsible for partnering with the Marketing Lead to build out the brand strategy
  • Accountable for the medical affairs strategy of the designated therapeutic area
  • Develop and implement the medical affairs strategy
  • Supply medical insight and safety oversight into promotional material
  • Actively contribute medical, safety and scientific input to relevant internal Brand(s) and Managed Markets teams regarding product strategy
  • Actively contribute to medical input for local investigator-initiated research (ISR)
  • Support global medical and clinical activities with global therapeutic area physicians
  • Collaborate with leading physician and patient advocacy groups to identify and support educational activities to improve patient outcomes
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs
  • Work with Clinical Development Teams to support the development, approval and execution of BeOne clinical trials
  • Collaborate with and support the Regulatory, Market Access and Health Economic Outcomes Research (HEOR) leads to plan for successful registration and reimbursement

Requirements

  • PhD, MBBS, PharmD
  • Significant experience in all aspects of clinical trials
  • Professional knowledge and skills working with oncology therapeutics in solid tumour indications
  • Relevant pharmaceutical or related industry experience in medical affairs with significant time in haematology, oncology or immunology
  • Proven track record of contribution to commercial, medical and/or clinical development strategies (in-country/region)
  • Significant experience in another cross-functional role (eg, HEOR)
  • Solid peer relationships with and exposure to external scientific and clinical experts and Key Opinion Leaders;
  • Understanding of applicable rules, regulations and actions of relevant regulatory bodies in Australian and New Zealand
  • Proven ability to translate and appropriately align commercial and scientific goals and objectives and to interact productively with both commercial and scientific colleagues
  • Highest ethical standards in corporate medical governance
  • Experience delivering compelling and persuasive communications on complex and controversial topics to both corporate management and scientific audiences
  • Successful track record of cross-business/cross-functional planning, collaboration and solution building
  • Strong interpersonal skills to allow for successful interaction with peers across the organization to achieve corporate goals
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • English proficiency a must
  • Ability to travel interstate and internationally when needed.
