About the role
- Travel to customer sites to install, maintain, repair, overhaul, troubleshoot, modify, and test electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment using various diagnostic tools
- Diagnose issues and perform necessary adjustments, part replacements, component repairs
- Provide technical support to engineers in the field or on-site for complex service tasks
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors while delivering high-quality technical service
- Collect, organize, and analyze technical data such as lab results, material tests, and engineering design changes
- Generate engineering documentation, reports, and drawings, conduct tests and record findings
- Perform calculations and interpret results to support service decisions
- Read and interpret general electrical and mechanical schematics
- Apply broad technical knowledge of electronic principles to restore equipment functionality and resolve issues
- Follow all company and industry safety standards and policies
- Complete other duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements
- Engineering degree
- 5+ years of field service experience in both electrical and mechanical domains
- Must be a “Road Warrior”—willing and able to travel 100%
- Demonstrated expertise in servicing and troubleshooting power electronic systems, including low and medium voltage switchgear, soft starters, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Proven proficiency in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting electrical and power electronic equipment
- Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours as needed to support urgent customer requirements
- Customer-focused professional with a team-oriented mindset and a commitment to service excellence
