About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for securing high-quality paint schedules and specifications for premium paint products
- Develop and execute a strategic account plan to achieve goals within the architectural and design (A&D) segment
- Identify and prioritize key accounts across architectural and design firms
- Actively prospect and engage with architects, designers, and specifiers to promote the brand
- Qualify and manage provided leads to secure paint schedules and specifications
- Provide comprehensive education to architects and designers through presentations, courses, and meetings
- Monitor project opportunities across all stages, keeping detailed records of paint schedules, specifications, and timelines
- Conduct job site visits to assess project needs and ensure proper implementation
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility
- Cultivate a deep passion for industry trends and developments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ of experience working directly with the A&D segment
- Prior experience developing and executing account plans to increase sales
- High sales aptitude with a self-driven and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to understand and communicate to the A&D segment our Benjamin Moore brand value proposition
- Demonstrated experience in writing and self-sourcing specifications and finish schedules while managing the project lifecycle through to install
- Proficiency in relevant software programs including MS Office and CRM
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, listening, and public speaking skills
- Strong motivational abilities with the capacity to inspire and guide others
- Proven time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent team collaboration skills for working effectively with colleagues and clients
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Must be able to travel overnight to attend meetings, conferences, and trade shows
- Must reside in the desired geography or be willing to relocate.
