About the role
- Lead a project to develop, document, and conduct lab experiments, gathering and analyzing data under the guidance of a Quality Engineer.
- Assist with the organization of Quality Data and information to ensure its easy accessibility and relevance.
- Lab testing of paints, colorants, and/or resins as necessary.
- Testing includes basic paint/colorant test methods including viscosity, pH, WPG, Gloss/Sheen, Tint Strength, and performing drawdowns.
- Basic resin testing may include %non-volatiles, pH, grit, and particle size.
- Perform data analysis and present to key stakeholders.
- Presentation would be used to support decision making process on possible specification or process changes.
- Ensures lab cleanliness standards are adhered to.
- Follows site-wide safety rules and requirements for PPE.
- Review and update test methods for standardization across all sites.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of basic lab techniques and maintenance, including proper lab sampling, labeling and housekeeping
- Able to travel by car to NJ based locations (including Flanders NJ, Montvale NJ, and Newark NJ).
- Looking for intern with a track in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
