About the role
- Collaborate with the Regulatory Team in interpreting global regulations.
- Assist internal & external stakeholders with regulatory compliance.
- Support new product development and evaluation.
- Prepare and review regulatory documents (Safety Data Sheets and Product Labels).
- Ensure product safety and regulatory compliance for paints and coatings in North America.
- Monitor changes to regulatory requirements, such as VOC regulations for the US and Canada, and share information with team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a regulatory perspective for ongoing and upcoming initiatives within the organization.
- Represent Benjamin Moore in industry groups (ACA).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science in Chemistry, Biology, Occupational or Public Health and Safety, Toxicology, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Product Safety, Product Compliance, or EHS
- Knowledge of paint or chemical processing is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS)
- Knowledge of domestic and international chemical regulatory compliance
- Experience in SDS & Label generation.
- Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance software.
- Working knowledge of Transport Classification Regulations (US and Canada) is desirable.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-changing regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in typical Office software.
