About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in the evolution of products and development of the insurance products and services offering while ensuring profitability
  • Suggest new approaches and ways of working, and modernize actuarial tools supporting profitability and competitiveness analyses
  • Develop profitability analyses for products and projects and submit recommendations
  • Use available data to achieve business objectives
  • Monitor products by staying informed about industry trends, studies and research, competitors, regulatory developments, and technological issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support achievement of business objectives
  • Participate in multidisciplinary projects involving life insurance, critical illness, disability insurance, and advanced analytics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Associate designation from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (AICA), or in the process of obtaining it (asset)
  • Knowledge of SAS and R programming languages
  • Knowledge of AXIS software (asset)
  • Advanced mastery of French, and intermediate mastery of English, spoken and written
