About the role
- We’re seeking a data-driven, creative, and execution-focused B2C Email and Performance Marketing Manager to support our direct-to-consumer growth and retention initiatives.
Play a key role in strategy, development, and optimization of email and multi-channel performance marketing campaigns that drive user acquisition, engagement, platform participation, and revenue growth.
Champion consumer-facing communications: craft lifecycle marketing journeys and promotional campaigns across diverse audience segments while upholding deliverability and performance standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally within marketing, Product, Data, and Client Success to deliver measurable results at scale.
Partner with department leadership to develop strategy and execution of email, push, and performance marketing campaigns to drive user activation, retention, and conversion.
Manage B2C email calendar and ensure consistent strategic communication cadence.
Develop compelling email content and lead creative development including copywriting, design, and content curation.
Design, execute, and optimize audience acquisition email series for new user sign-ups and platform adoption.
Map and optimize email strategies across customer lifecycle: welcome, re-engagement, win-back and promotional campaigns.
Implement sophisticated audience segmentation strategies and design campaigns that drive engagement, revenue, and maximize LTV.
Develop strategic remarketing campaigns based on user behavior and engagement patterns.
Optimize email performance through A/B testing, segmentation strategies, and personalization; monitor metrics and optimize accordingly.
Conduct comprehensive reporting and performance analysis; regularly report to leadership with actionable recommendations.
Ensure email deliverability and maintain sender reputation; create accessible email templates conforming to WCAG.
Stay current on email marketing regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.) and implement compliance measures.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2C email marketing
Proven track record of developing data-driven email campaigns that drive user acquisition, engagement, and revenue
Experience with lifecycle marketing, behavioral remarketing, and trigger-based automation
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data, segment behavior, and translate insights into actionable strategies
Proficient in segmentation, cohort analysis, and advanced personalization strategies
Skilled in email creative development, including copywriting, design, and basic HTML/CSS for email
Knowledge of deliverability best practices, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
Familiarity with major email marketing platforms (e.g., Iterable, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
Understanding of mobile-responsive email design and accessibility best practices
Solid grasp of email marketing regulations and compliance requirements
Strong written communication, project management, and organizational skills
Experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, and interpreting experiment results
Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau) and campaign attribution modeling
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, or related field preferred
