About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while managing and prioritising workload, ensuring incidents, requests, and changes are handled and documented correctly.
  • Provide expert guidance to users, influencing across the organisation and applying knowledge creatively to non‑standard situations.
  • Maintain and support physical and virtual infrastructure, including hardware, data centres, communication rooms, and coordination with third‑party vendors.
  • Contribute to business continuity activities, prepare and maintain operational documentation, and participate in the 24/7 infrastructure support rota.
  • Plan, document, and execute small projects, managing risks, tracking progress, and contributing insights to IT strategy and best practice.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified or working toward qualification in Microsoft core technologies, with proven IT experience in fast‑paced environments.
  • Broad infrastructure knowledge with skills in areas such as networking, VMware ESX, VoIP, Windows Server, SAN, security, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS.
  • Experience using monitoring toolsets and working with tier‑1 hardware platforms like Cisco UCS and HP servers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business users, suppliers, and customers.
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and the ability to build productive, collaborative relationships.
