About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support preparation and delivery of the Group’s quarterly and annual statutory reporting
  • Source, analyse, and validate financial data for accurate and timely submissions
  • Work with external auditors during statutory and regulatory assurance engagements
  • Provide information, resolve queries, and support an efficient audit process
  • Enhance reporting processes, controls, governance, and accounting procedures
  • Support technical accounting and statutory reporting activities
  • Prepare narrative reporting, including the Strategic Report, Audit Committee papers, and Board papers
  • Contribute to accounting judgements and statutory reporting Group Governance requirements
  • Work closely with the finance manager to produce the Q3 result and prepare year-end reporting while a new finance system is embedded

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Aptitude for interpreting and applying accounting requirements and best practice
  • Skilled communicator capable of interpreting and explaining complex information to stakeholders
  • Experienced and disciplined user of Microsoft Excel
  • Financial Services experience
  • Understanding of IFRS
  • Insurance experience is a standout qualification
  • IFRS 17 knowledge is a standout qualification
