About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain features for our Mexican payments ecosystem, ensuring high reliability and security in a regulated environment.
  • Build secure and high-quality code using TypeScript, NestJS on the backend, and React on the frontend, leveraging AI tools to optimize your workflow and output.
  • Understand the impact your code has on our clients and proactively tackle potential improvements and pain points.
  • Create excellent documentation and continuously improve the “developer experience” of Belvo’s platform.
  • Implement automated quality assurance and monitoring modules to ensure platform stability.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other engineers to drive the execution and delivery of new features.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of Backend development fundamentals
  • Proficient in or willing to learn TypeScript, NestJS, and React (Previous experience with TypeScript is not required, but a solid engineering foundation is).
  • Used to or eager to leverage AI coding assistants to build secure, high-quality code and automate routine tasks.
  • Customer-centric and understand the business impact of your technical decisions.
  • Detail-oriented developer, coding so others can read and work with your code.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Experience using AI-powered tools and frameworks to support software development, testing, or automation
