About the role
- Local accounting – BR GAAP and IFRS
- Prepare accounting entries, ensuring correct classification of invoices, receipts, contracts and other documents, in accordance with Group BNP accounting policies and internal controls.
- Perform account reconciliations of medium and high complexity, identifying, analyzing and resolving outstanding or transient items within established deadlines.
- Ensure correct accounting classification of the entries for which you are responsible.
- Analyze accounting items outstanding for more than 90 days, ensuring appropriate treatment in accordance with policies applicable to sensitive accounts (Banks, Transitory/Clearing Accounts and Provisions).
- Support the Accounting Coordination in preparing information for the monthly and quarterly closings to be reported to headquarters.
- Balance sheet and income statement account analysis
- Perform critical analyses of the accounts under your responsibility, exercising a high level of professional judgment over balance fluctuations.
- Assess the adequacy of reported amounts, identifying deviations, unusual trends or inconsistencies using ratios, percentages, absolute values and other analytical techniques.
- Audit
- Support internal and external audit processes by responding to inquiries and providing evidence and documentation, aiming for no significant findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related fields.
- Active CRC registration or in the process of obtaining it (preferred).
- Solid experience in general accounting, including involvement in monthly close and accounting analyses.
- Experience with local accounting (BR GAAP) and reporting or reconciliations under IFRS.
- Experience performing medium and high complexity account reconciliations, including sensitive balance sheet accounts (banks, provisions, transitory accounts).
- Experience working in environments with structured internal controls and corporate accounting policies.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and good ability to interpret BR GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Applied knowledge in variance analysis, balance review and investigation of inconsistencies.
- Knowledge of financial mathematics and accounting impacts.
- Advanced Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and data analysis.
- Experience with accounting/financial ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, TOTVS/Protheus, DataSul or similar).
