Manage, mentor, and provide technical guidance to a Data Scientist, fostering a high-performance environment focused on innovation and delivery of AI solutions, encompassing both traditional and generative approaches.
Develop and execute the company's AI strategy, encompassing both traditional AI techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, classification, regression) and Generative AI models. Identify opportunities to apply these technologies to improve guest experiences, streamline operations, and increase profitability.
Oversee a portfolio of AI projects from conception through deployment and production, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This includes managing resources, mitigating risks, and tracking project progress across all AI initiatives.
Lead the development, training, and deployment of a variety of AI models, including but not limited to Traditional Machine Learning models for tasks such as customer segmentation, optimisation and forecasting, and Generative AI models for tasks such as knowledge agents, contact centre support models, itinerary builders, HR assistants etc.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Contact Centre, Sales, HR, Revenue Management) to understand their needs and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions leveraging the most appropriate AI technique.
Stay up to date with advancements in both traditional AI and GenAI, evaluating their potential application within the company. Proactively seek out and implement cutting-edge technologies and techniques across the AI spectrum.
Use Data Engineering to ensure the availability of high-quality data for all AI model development initiatives. Contribute to the design and maintenance of the AI infrastructure to support both Traditional and GenAI models.
Clearly communicate AI concepts, strategies, and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences, including management, ensuring that the explanation is tailored to the audience's understanding.
