About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and operate tools such as SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, XDR, NGFW, EDR, DLP, CASB and SSPM;
  • Perform analysis and handling of security events, supporting investigations and incident response;
  • Support continuous improvement of incident response processes and procedures;
  • Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities end-to-end (detection → prioritization → remediation);
  • Identify security gaps and implement technical controls;
  • Act on critical incidents (containment, eradication and lessons learned);
  • Perform hardening of Windows/AD and Linux systems;
  • Administer and support the maintenance of security controls, focusing on firewalls, WAF, endpoint protection and corporate environment security;
  • Configure rules, policies and alerts in NGFW, WAF, email security, proxies and DLP;
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of controls and suggest improvements;
  • Support automation initiatives using Python, PowerShell or Bash to optimize operational activities;
  • Integrate tools via APIs to improve investigation and response workflows;
  • Support infrastructure, network and development teams on security topics;
  • Participate in change management processes (CMDB/GMUD), assessing impacts and risks related to information security;
  • Interact with vendors, manufacturers and specialized partners (MSS), monitoring demands related to the maintenance and evolution of security controls;
  • Mentor junior analysts and assist in evolving operational processes.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields;
  • Experience in Information Security, Security Operations (SecOps) or administration of security controls;
  • Experience in on-premises corporate environments;
  • Strong knowledge of administration and maintenance of firewalls, preferably Fortinet and Check Point;
  • Administration of Active Directory, Windows environments and Microsoft 365;
  • Endpoint protection solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Check Point Harmony or similar;
  • NGFW, WAF, proxies and email security solutions;
  • Advanced SIEM skills;
  • XDR/EDR;
  • Investigation and handling of security events and incidents;
  • Vulnerability management (Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS or similar);
  • Hardening of Windows and Linux environments;
  • Implementation and maintenance of corporate security controls.
