About the role

  • Oversee profit and loss statements and monthly closings using GAAP equity method for private equity funds and portfolios.
  • Guide fund accountants in compiling and analyzing financial data, preparing general ledger entries, and documenting transactions.
  • Establish, maintain, and implement accounting controls and procedures.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and draft memos as needed.
  • Prepare and review investor-specific reports; serve as the primary contact for fund operations across multiple real estate funds.
  • Calculate and interpret performance metrics such as IRR, cash yields, and equity multiples.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5–7 years of accounting experience (private equity experience preferred)
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • At least 3 years’ experience at a public accounting firm preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong understanding of accounting consolidation rules
  • Exceptional customer service orientation
  • Ability to mentor and develop technical skills in others
