About the role

  • You are part of the Belfius Financial Markets department and proactively offer, within the commercial strategy, financial products and services to institutional clients
  • Thanks to your strong client relationships, product expertise and knowledge of the financial markets, you provide maximum added value to our clients
  • Your main task is to maintain excellent relationships with institutional investors (Belgian and international clients) for the trading of bonds, equities, derivatives and treasury products
  • You play a key role in facilitating transactions and ensuring smooth coordination with other internal desks (DCM origination, Syndication, Commercial Paper, etc.)
  • Prospecting new clients and analysing new business opportunities for the department
  • A typical working day is as follows: after analysing market developments and the previous day’s economic figures, the following hours are dedicated to client relationship management with the objective of trading bond products and expanding the portfolio of international institutional clients

Requirements

  • University degree (preferably in economics or finance)
  • Experience trading fixed income products and/or an existing portfolio of institutional clients (European)
  • Strong commercial persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Dynamic and entrepreneurial
  • A positive, problem-solving mindset
  • A good team player
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a network
  • Well organised, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Language skills: Dutch, French and English
