About the role
- Provide ongoing support for SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) processes, including issue resolution, user assistance, process monitoring, and coordination with integrated third-party systems
- Support configuration updates, user queries, and performance tuning to ensure system stability and efficiency
- Understand and support integration solutions between SAP S/4 and other systems using Central Finance
- Partner with stakeholders to gather evolving business needs, assess change requests, translate into functional requirements, and work with technical teams on enhancements
- Support data validation and reconciliation activities related to Finance and Controlling; maintain and troubleshoot integration points between SAP and legacy/third-party systems via Central Finance
- Maintain and enhance financial reporting capabilities using SAP S/4 embedded analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and other BI tools; support report development and business insights
- Participate in regression testing, patch validations, change impact assessments, and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Support change management efforts by assisting with user training, maintaining training materials, facilitating user adoption, and serving as point of contact for end-user support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, customer service, manufacturing, logistics, other IT units, and 3rd party systems) to support day-to-day operations and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree or MBA highly preferred
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in IT, with a strong focus on technology solutions for FICO functions
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 FICO core modules using Fiori and ECC GUI environments
- In-depth knowledge of Finance processes within SAP (General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Indirect Taxes, Credit Management, Cash Application, Electronic Bank Statement, Tax Engine integration, Fixed Assets, Controlling, Cost & Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Inventory Valuation, Month end Closing)
- Experience integrating Finance with SD/MM/PP modules
- Proven track record in SAP implementations and/or support (planning, data migration, system configuration, user training)
- Familiarity with legacy ERP systems and experience migrating to SAP S/4, emphasis on GL migration, preferably using cFIN
- Strong understanding of cloud-based IT solutions and emerging technologies relevant to Finance and SAP ECC/S4
- Proficiency in SAP modules FI, CO, AR, AP, Banking, Taxes and integration with SD and MM
- Preferred experience in Central Finance and integrations with High Radius and Vertex
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across functions
- Professional certifications (SAP FI/CO, SAP cFIN, ITIL, PMP) are a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
