About the role

  • Design and develop data loading and transformation pipelines on GCP using DBT.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Apply best development practices and maintain CI/CD processes for continuous integration and deployment of data projects via GitLab.
  • Monitor and manage incidents.
  • Participate in peer review and validation of Pull Requests with other Data Engineers.
  • Automate data infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Document architectures, pipelines, and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with technology trends and share insights with the team during dedicated sessions.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 5 years’ professional experience
  • Expertise in DBT for data transformation
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in Python for scripting and developing data tools
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and associated services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Composer, etc.)
  • Strong data modeling skills (dimensional, relational, etc.)
  • Experience in automating infrastructure with Terraform
  • Mastery of CI/CD tools and practices, ideally with GitLab.
