About the role
- Reporting to the Plant Director, you are responsible for defining the strategy, implementing and monitoring safety, health, working conditions and site security for the Boué site.
- Ensure the proper operation of the safety management system and, more broadly, the safety function: provide support to help employees adopt risk prevention measures.
- Lead and monitor the safety committee/general action plan and ensure that safety instructions and procedures are applied.
- Coordinate the safety training plan at all levels in collaboration with HR and raise employee awareness (skills development plan, methodology, tools, etc.).
- Act as the primary contact for local authorities and the group on safety matters.
- Update the scheduling of safety audits, centralize audit reports and ensure follow-up of required actions.
- Ensure proper management of accidents and infirmary care (statistics, analysis, action plans, postings).
- Be accountable for fire prevention and first aid (inspection/maintenance of equipment, upkeep of fire suppression systems, training of response teams, installation of signage/testing, etc.).
- As the Health and Safety focal point, ensure the plant’s practices comply with legal, regulatory and internal standards (point of contact for CARSAT, coordination with the Works Council/CSE).
- Promote continuous improvement of current health and safety practices for personnel (site health & safety master plan, training, etc.).
- Ensure protection of assets as the site security lead (equipment/procedures/implementation of security registers, etc.).
Requirements
- Degree equivalent to Bac+2 to Bac+5 (e.g., HND, Bachelor's, Master's) with a specialization in Health & Safety
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role on an industrial site
- Recognized knowledge of industrial environments and associated constraints: teamwork, workstations, management of labour relations, etc.
- Proficient in safety management techniques and methods related to health, working conditions and site security
- Experienced in managing relationships with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external: labour inspectorate, CARSAT, occupational health services, etc.
