About the role
- Conduct sensory tests
- Design and implement sensory evaluation experiments (semantic, semi-semantic, QDA, and other methodologies)
- Ensure data reliability through standardized collection protocols
- Support panel training and ensure consistency of sensory assessments
- Organize and clean sensory data for accurate analysis
- Perform basic statistical analyses (ANOVA, PCA, correlation studies)
- Provide clear reports, visualizations, and summaries to project teams
- Work closely with developers, data scientists and researchers to integrate sensory insights
- Propose and validate new methods to increase the impact of sensory research
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in sensory sciences with experience in the food or cosmetics industry
- Education in food science, psychology, cognitive science or a related field
- Practical mastery of sensory evaluation methods, including explicit and implicit methodologies
- Strong experience in statistics and data management
- Familiarity with common software tools for data capture and analysis
- High level of rigor, strong organizational skills and team spirit
- Experience managing sensory panels in academic or industrial environments (preferred)
- Knowledge of R or Python for basic data analysis (preferred)
