About the role
- As an OT & Automation Engineer, you will report to the on-site Engineering Manager with a functional reporting line to the Group OT Hardware Manager.
- You will carry out a variety of tasks and projects at our industrial site in Tangier.
- The work undertaken and the expected deliverables will improve the overall performance of the site by implementing concrete, modern, and end-user-oriented solutions.
- Creation of a plant-wide workshop supervision system integrating the most advanced connectivity/portability/AI solutions.
- Local deployment of the suite of automation tools, program versioning, and centralization of software license certificates.
- Retrofit and standardization of programs for our key equipment such as fillers and melted cheese cookers.
- Creation of a standard Siemens Unified library of objects.
- Integration of intelligent, connected energy-saving modules.
- Roll-out of an AI-based cheese texture modeling solution by correlating physical and vision data on a Corazza rotary depositor.
- Integration of IO-Link.
- Support project teams on OT topics.
Requirements
- Master's degree/Bachelor’s degree in industrial computer engineering/industrial automation or certified automation technician.
- 1 year of experience in industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of industrial computing, electronics, networks, robotics, automation, programming and IT (ideally on Siemens environments).
- Knowledge of development methods and tools, databases, and operating systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Power BI, Power Apps, etc.).
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Adaptability, analytical and synthesis skills, rigor, organization, sense of responsibility, good communication and listening skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams is an essential asset for success.
