About the role
- Manage deployment flows between U.S. and/or Canadian plants and warehouses and within the distribution network
- Ensure deployment of factory inventory to warehouses in Canada and inter-warehouse transfers in line with sales forecasts and inventory targets
- Coordinate with plants to make finished goods available and ensure compliance with plant loading capacities and truck fill objectives
- Place orders for products to be deployed within the distribution network
- Coordinate transport of products from plants to warehouses and between warehouses, considering carrier allocations, planned capacities and transport constraints (temperature, equipment, routes, etc.)
- Monitor deliveries with carriers and warehouses
- Escalate transport and delivery issues (quantity, quality, timeliness) to stakeholders, and establish and follow up on action plans
- Optimize the inventory deployment process across the distribution network to maintain high service levels and efficiency
- Validate transport documents and invoices in SAP, ensuring compliance with transport costs and key parameters
- Implement action plans to improve upstream and inter-warehouse flow efficiency and logistics productivity
- Plan incoming pallet flows (CHEP) in the network according to each warehouse's needs
- Maintain the health of product, pallet and packaging inventory
- Alert on product shortage risks and propose solutions
- Ensure inventory freshness to reduce product obsolescence and avoid destruction, leading proactive actions
- Ensure the integrity of physical and system inventory (SAP and JDA) daily; correct errors (IDOC) and make necessary adjustments in partnership with the logistics provider
- Plan and participate in inventory counts during the fiscal year
- Implement and improve short- and medium-term stock planning processes with Customer Service and planning teams
- Manage and ensure the integrity of CHEP pallet inventory in warehouses, handle variances and implement proactive measures and action plans to ensure correct pallet quality and quantities
- Manage and ensure the integrity of packaging inventory for co-packing or other storage activities requiring specific packaging
- Plan and coordinate warehousing activities including co-packing
- Ensure proper execution of warehousing activities with the logistics partner
- Coordinate co-packing activities with the logistics partner and packaging suppliers
- Plan co-packing production activities with the logistics partner, place subcontracting orders, monitor production schedules, product consumption and the inventorying of finished goods
- Plan and organize procurement of packaging required for co-packing; ensure timely, quality and quantity delivery of packaging, proper consumption tracking, inventory monitoring and management of stock and procurement parameters
- Validate warehousing activity billing and monitor costs, including co-packing activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related field such as business administration, industrial engineering, statistics, economics
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role in inventory management, logistics or planning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for analysis (advanced Excel is required)
- Familiarity with an ERP planning system (SAP is a plus)
- Knowledge of inventory planning systems
- Bilingual in French and English (written, read and spoken)
