About the role
- Responsible for working any position within the Supply Chain department, including VIF Operator, Material Handler
- Primary backup for any positions needing filled on their assigned shift
- Rotate between positions on a consistent basis
- Maintain Licensure on: Stand-Up Fork-Lift, Yard Switcher Truck
- Operate high-speed manufacturing equipment through touchscreen/HMI
- Clean and maintain orderly work area and troubleshoot basic maintenance of equipment
- Operate industrial carts, power hand carts, and forklifts
- Timely movement of all materials within your designated location and tracking materials
- Use a computer and company systems to track all material movement transactions
- Observe all GMP, Food Safety, and Employee Safety Requirements
- Load 53 foot trailers with a lift truck
- Drive and move 53 foot trailers with a Yard Truck
- Recognize shortages of materials in the system and order materials for next shift
- Follow detailed processes for assigned work to ensure proper completion
- Run basic reports in VIF: SCN01 TFCHRONO
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent Preferred
- Previous food manufacturing experience is highly desired.
- Prior experience forklift/material handling experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to understand both written and verbal instructions in English.
- Previous experience working in the food industry is a plus
- Must be able to measure and understand tare weight.
- Strong attention to detail
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer skills (data entry and experience with an ERP system in a production environment preferred)
- Basic Math skills
- Competency with weights and measures
