About the role

  • Coordinate the local forecasting process and jointly develop short-, mid- and long-term demand plans with Sales and Marketing teams
  • Propose demand plans based on statistical analysis, taking into account market trends, customer outlook, expected exceptions and guidelines from previous S&OP cycles
  • Perform gap analysis against budget, month M-1 and prior year, in both volume and value
  • Prepare forecasting meeting materials for Sales and Marketing, including key assumptions, risks and opportunities
  • Facilitate forecasting meetings with Business Unit Sales and Marketing teams
  • Collect information from Marketing on new product phase-ins and discontinued product phase-outs (short-term view)
  • Update short-, mid- and long-term demand plans in JDA according to forecasting meetings and S&OP+ discussions and decisions
  • Conduct forecast accuracy analysis, identify improvements and define action plans
  • Ensure supply feasibility of the forecast on the short-term horizon
  • Alert on overstock or low stock situations in the short- and mid-term for assigned brands
  • Coordinate with factories to resolve stock issues
  • Develop tools and reports and support the team in optimizing supply chain performance for the Business Unit
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders in continuous improvement projects

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Demand Planner (FMCG experience is a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with forecasting tools (JDA is a plus)
  • Advanced Excel skills (an Excel test may be conducted during interviews)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the local market: distributors, products, channels and market insights
  • Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
  • APICS (ASCM) supply chain certification is a plus
  • Fluent in French; good command of English; Dutch is not required but appreciated
