About the role
- Using advanced SQL and Data Build Tools (dbt) on Snowflake, develop and improve existing data models to support analysts and researchers for the game Dead by Daylight.
- Stay up to date with and apply best practices in testing, security, cost control, performance tuning, and efficient resource usage.
- Promote best practices and ensure consistency across games.
- Using Python and Airflow, develop and improve existing tooling that supports the main game's data pipeline and collects secondary data.
- Participate in a variety of data projects spanning multiple areas of expertise (data engineering, data analysis, etc.).
Requirements
- Degree in data development, business intelligence, software development, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in data modeling involving complex SQL transformations over large datasets (including experience with a cloud database, preferably Snowflake).
- Equivalent experience developing production-grade Python- and SQL-based ETL scripts and using a pipeline scheduler.
- Experience implementing data governance best practices.
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS or others); additional experience with dbt and Airflow is an asset.
