About the role

  • Review, track, and reconcile insurance accounts receivable
  • Rework denied, underpaid, or unpaid claims
  • Follow up persistently with insurance companies via phone and portal
  • Collect payments on approved SCA and OON authorizations
  • Ensure claims align with authorization terms and contracted rates
  • Update internal systems to maintain clean, accurate AR
  • Identify trends in denials or delays and escalate appropriately
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding claim status
  • Create, send, and manage invoices to clients for patient responsibility
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all follow-up and outcomes
  • Support ongoing process improvement within the billing/insurance workflow

Requirements

  • Prior experience in insurance AR, medical billing, or revenue cycle management
  • Experience with ABA billing preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of: Single Case Agreements (SCAs)
  • Out-of-Network (OON) authorizations
  • Insurance follow-up and collections
  • Highly organized and process-oriented
  • Comfortable with high-volume phone work
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
