About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide consumer loans from application through funding, ensuring efficient processing and adherence to service expectations and timelines
  • Review loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and proper scoring in the Loan Origination System
  • Create, review, and finalize compliant loan closing documents
  • Execute consumer loan funding and disbursement activities
  • Answer member questions, provide updates, coordinate signing appointments, and deliver high-quality service
  • Review income verification, collateral insurance, purchase orders, vehicle titles, and other supporting documentation
  • Conduct title reviews, identify discrepancies, and resolve title-related issues
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to clear collateral conditions and obtain required documentation
  • Apply valuation cascades as needed
  • Manage multiple queues, inboxes, and loan files while meeting service levels and deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with lending policies, regulatory requirements, and BECU service standards
  • Support team and business objectives through additional responsibilities and projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree in business or equivalent work or educational experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in consumer lending, indirect lending, or small business lending
  • Proficiency in loan origination systems and document review
  • PC skills and ability to learn new software
  • Math and basic accounting skills
  • Full-time hours required, with additional hours as necessary
  • Comprehensive understanding of consumer lending policies, practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Thorough knowledge of RESPA, HMDA, Fair Lending, and ECOA rules and regulations
  • Ability to work PST hours and Saturday rotational shifts
