About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Play a key role in delivering a seamless and high-quality member experience
Expertise in BECU’s products to identify, diagnose, and address members' consumer financial needs
Refer members to specialized services when necessary
Serve as a subject matter expert, resolving members' needs and providing expertise in specialized financial services
Utilize product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and sales in multiple areas
Sign all line and loan documents ensuring each Member’s needs are fulfilled
Assist the community with financial wellness involving financial education programs, assistance with budgeting, debt management, or access to financial planning resources

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience
Minimum two years of experience in a sales-oriented, financial, or retail environment
One year of experience in a financial institution (desired)
Spanish language fluency highly desirable
Thorough understanding of the sales process and ability to manage a sales pipeline efficiently
Strong proficiency and comfort level with learning new systems and programs; with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
Ability to successfully complete a 12-week in-house training program after hire
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Credit Union key objectives, product and service solutions
Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to membership, deposit, and loan products and services offered.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills to enable daily communication with Members
Proficient math aptitude and analytical skills
Problem resolution, negotiating, organization, multi-tasking and peer coaching skills
Ability to work flexible shifts
